Paper

A while back I found this wonderful paper at Michaels and just fell in love with it.

Today I made 2 cards with it and might make more tomorrow.

Sachet

Cute cute I have to admit ... made this sachet that is filled with aroma beads. Next to it is a quarter, so you can see it is not very big. The beads are not very strong smelling just enough for the lingerie or sock drawer,or maybe for the purse. Off to make more :0)

 

Crochet Projects

I made 2 new crochet projects. 1 was another trivet for my mom and it's already on the way to her, all the way to Germany :0)

The other is a sachet. This is my first sachet.

I played around a bit yesterday and this is what happened. 

I think it's cute. 

I will make more and think I will post the pattern here.

So be patient with me and I promise I will come up with a pattern.

I have NEVER done a crochet pattern so this will be very 

NEW to me.

Wedding

Our friend and neighbors are getting married tomorrow. So, as a gift I thought we give them something unique.

Of course I made a card, and that was inspired my my cyber friend Valita.

Her heart couple was so cute I had to make it for this card. You can find her video tutorial for it HERE on her blog.

The "money tree" was pretty much all my idea. I made bows with REAL money and attached them to a tree branch. I used some glitter spray first for the branch and some little white flowers. 

Well, you see the results below....

Cactus

Yesterday I finished crocheting a cactus. I thought it turned out super cute. I think Herman the turtle agreed with me :0)

Amigurumi Duck & Turtle ...

I love to craft other things besides cards. This week I found some amigurumi patterns online and thought I give it a try. This is my first time trying anything like that. I know the basics of crocheting but did not really know how to read patterns, but I got the hang of it after a while. So here are some pictures of the duck & turtle I made.

Happy Spring

Today is the first day of Spring and I am just loving the weather we are having right now in Virginia.

I made this card today for a set that somebody has ordered from me. I love the bird, it is a Martha Stewart stamp.

I used a mix of coloring materials on the bird.

Lets go to the ZOO

There is a new challenge in town and it takes you to the ZOO!!

I had to take a little break from the design team for 

a pulled tooth, but I am on the mend now.

This time the challenge is all about ZOO animals.

Dustin has tons of images with cute and fun animals 

and I know you will have fun with this one.

I used my Dustin Pike rubber stamp for this one.

Color Challenge ...

Today starts a new challenge over at Dustin Pike's blog. This time it's a color challenge and you need to grab one of Dustin's images and use these colors

 RED, PURPLE, BLACK, BROWN, and PINK and create a card.

Here is what I came up with

New Dies ...

I got some new Spellbinders dies and love the look of them on this card. 

These are actually available at a local big box craft store here in town.

The border was done with a Martha S. craft punch, inside and out.

I used a  strip of the contrasting paper on the inside, to show the punched edge more on the outside. 

It is a really pretty contrast when you close it (not shown).

On the castle I have used my watercolor crayons, that were tucked away under a bunch of paper and where crying for me to use them again.
You will see lots more images colored with my watercolor crayons since I can't seem to bring myself to put them away again right now.
