Great weekend....

It was a great weekend here at our house. We celebrated Jason's b-day early since he has to go back out to sea in a few hours. We only had him back for 2 days and we made the best out of it.
Here are some pictures ......

We went out for a b-day meal at Red Robins...

Just for Fun...

Dustin had this one as a freebie the other Wed. and I could not get to it until now.

BTW I made the bananas from polymer clay :0)

It's almost time again.....

...tomorrow for another new release by Dustin Pike . His Design Dream Team ;0) is hard at work, making sure that there are plenty of sneak peeks out to show you what you can do with these FANTASTIC digital images .

Here are some I made for this week......

Have Bubbles Of Fun

I added glitter to the bubbles and Crystal Lacquer to the water to give it a wet effect.

The finished card ....

I used prismacolor pencils to color the image and blend with OMS. I also used Crystal Lacquer for water effects (the pics don't really show this too well but I think you can make it out on the button that says 'Have Bubbles of Fun'). I also used some glitter, dew drops and 2 kinds of ribbon and a brad.

Ever Had One Of Those Days?

The finished card ....

You know my favorite coloring medium by now , prismacolor pencils with OMS and I just love it.

I added some funky paper layered it and made the worms front part of the body 3D.

I added some crystal blue flowers.

Hope you like the 2 cards for this weeks new release.

If you would like to own these new upcoming images please visit Dustin Pike's blog, there you will be able to purchase them for a really great price.

Memorial Day!!!

My husband is right now out to sea with the newest ship in the US fleet the USS G.H.W. Bush.

Military life is not an easy one.

You see people celebrate memorial day while your loved one, who serves, is away from you and your children.

We just celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary and he was not here.

I hope you try to remember to just say a little prayer for our men and women in uniform who keep this country safe.

Thanks

Turtle for a friend

One of Dustin Pike's past images made into a card for a friend.
Colored, as always, with prismacolors and OMS.

Beautiful cards made with SU material :0)

Last Sunday I went to Lisa Freeman's house to make some cards. Lisa is a Stampin Up Demonstrator.
I had lots of fun making these cards and learned lots of new stuff too.
Thanks Lisa

Sneak Peek!!! Sneak Peek!!!

I thought you all might like to see a little sneak peek of what's to come in Dustin Pike's new release on Thursday. Well, here is just a Little taste of what you can buy on Thu. and I think these images are SUPER cute.
I loved coloring the monkey girl and the tiki dudes :0) . I colored, cute them out and attached all to the palm tree background.
I used prismacolor pencils with OMS , as you can tell prismacolor pencils are my choice of coloring tool. I used some cardstock and stamped the palm background.
I found a palm tree that Dustin had drawn some years back and took just one leave of it (disassembled it in my PSP program) colored all the leaves cut them out , one by one ....pheeewww and attached them with glue dots. The whole card is 3 dimensional and I wish you all could see it in person. ALOHA to all my friends who visit my blog :0)

Well, now to the image.... this is exactly how I feel in the mornings :0) and I just loved the image the first time I saw it.
I used Best Occasions textured cardstock and provo craft paper.
I colored the little guy with prismacolor pencils and used OMS to blend.
I added ribbon and this cute little sun charm.

AND he is all 3D I hope the pictures are able to show this.

I Don't Do Mornings

Have a wonderful day and don't forget to go over to Dustin's site to get his images.

I found a great image by Dustin Pike that fit the situation well.

Here is the image I picked.....

I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and used OMS.

For shading the background I used Pebbles Inc. chalks.

The sentiment is a Studio G stamp on a slider (made with cuttlebug die).
